2010 MLB All-Star Game AL voting update #4

In the newest 2010 MLB All-Star Game voting update, Griffey has maintained his third place standings among American League designated hitters. As he maintains his third place position, the fans votes have truly illustrated their appreciation and their desire for him to yet again be "star" in Anaheim, CA.

Keep it up and Junior will be sure to pass hometown favorite and under performing, Hideki Matsui of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the standings. For the traditionalist and stats lovers that may have or are voting for Vladimir Guerrero of the Texas Rangers, stop! Just think how much more it would mean to Ken Griffey Jr. in his retirement year and what more it would mean to the game and baseball history if he was voted into the 2010 MLB All-Star Game!

A total of seventeen days remain for fan voting for the ASG, plenty of time to make up ground and grab some headlines for Junior and a spot for him in the Midsummer Classic.

Word of mouth and additional media coverage are what can propel is campaign and Junior into a ASG roster spot for the American League. So tell your family, friends (enemies too), sports fans, co-workers, fellow bystanders, the guy/girl next to you in the grocery store line and anyone else who can do the right thing to vote for Junior in the 2010 MLB All-Star Game balloting!

2010 MLB All-Star Game AL voting update #3

Unfortunately in the most recent update, Vladimir Guerrero of the Texas Rangers has taken a substantial lead in the voting standings for AL designated hitter. Griffey has maintained his 3rd place position among AL designated hitters.

However, with continual support for this campaign and discussion by others about this campaign's efforts, the "Vote for Junior" movement will for sure succeed! Just remember to vote often (25 times per email address), only vote for Junior for AL designated hitter and spread the word!

Don't give up hope, we can do this. Keep up the support and continue to vote for Junior, because he deserves this! If your not convinced look at some reasons to vote for Junior.

2010 MLB All-Star Game AL voting update- #2

So, a bit of tough news today.  The second voting update was released and, while Griffey is still in third place for designated hitters, Vladimir Guerrero has increased his lead over Junior (and Hideki Matsui).  So that's the bad news.  The good news is that Griffey is still in third and doesn't appear to be losing his hold of the position anytime soon.  110,000 new votes this week--not too bad!

So, the task at hand is still a simple one.  First, continue voting with as many email addresses as you can manage.  Second, publicize the campaign!  Our votes alone will not get him voted in--we need as many voters as we can get.

The Mariners are still pushing for Griffey to go to the game, so let's keep rocking the vote ourselves.

2010 MLB All-Star Game AL voting update- #1

Today, the first voting results standings were released for the American League roster for the 2010 MLB All-Star Game in Anaheim, CA. The standings showed Ken Griffey Jr. in third place among designated hitters for the American League, 14 players are listed as DH on the AL ballot and others received write-in votes. This position in the standings for Griffey is not ideal, but impressive none the less! Due to his lack of productivity at the plate and having to have dealt with some media issues (the "Sleepgate" fiasco), one would have to be impressed with Junior's current standings in the ASG voting.

Griffey got some love in MLB.com's video "Early AL All-Star voting results"! The Seattle Mariners are also excited that Junior is among top vote-getters at DH for the American League.

Keep up the voting, 25 times per email address online or paper ballots at MLB stadiums, and spread the word on the "Vote for Junior" campaign! Ken Griffey Jr. is among the greatest to ever play the game and deserves this one last all-star memory.
